Life comes with many challenges. As a result people often grapple with thoughts and feelings that are too much to bear alone. These may be feelings of sadness, anger, humiliation, loneliness or fear. Self destructive tendencies can emerge because of all the unfulfilled needs and unanswered questions that accumulate.
I believe that healing comes with the need to get our emotional experience into the mind of a trusted other. As your therapist, each time that we meet I will walk into the room with an open heart and mind and with years of clinical experience, doing my best to remain mindful and present for whatever concern you bring to your clinical hour with me. Reciprocated trust and understanding will set into motion the chance to open doors inside that lead to the more guarded aspects of the self. Creating a safe and caring environment facilitates my patients ability to see these deeper aspects of themselves and find the answers that lie within. New ways of seeing, feeling, understanding, loving and creating will start to become available to them.
I have been in practice for 19 years as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Extensive training and postgraduate study throughout my career have offered me a multi-layered understanding of human beings and their relationships. I adore my work and welcome the chance to go on this journey with you so that troubling thoughts and feelings can become more understandable and less dominate in your life. As the process unfolds, a sense of groundedness will develop, allowing my patients more room to breath. Internal weights lighten, while spontaneity, insight and joyful living have the chance to emerge .
